How much does it cost to hire a magician for a corporate event in Sacramento?
It depends on the event, so I quote each one instead of posting a number. The price comes down to the format (strolling, parlor, or a full stage show), how long you need me, how many people, and where it is. Tell me the date and a little about the event, and I’ll get you a real number fast.
What’s the difference between strolling magic, a parlor show, and a stage show?
Strolling magic means I move between small groups during a reception or cocktail hour, close enough that it happens in their hands, with nothing to set up. A parlor show sits around twenty-five guests down for forty-five minutes to an hour, and it plays better in a living room or private dining room than close-up does. A stage show is a full set for a seated crowd at a banquet or awards night. Not sure which one fits? Tell me the headcount and the space, and I’ll tell you.
How long do you perform?
As long as your event needs. Strolling magic runs as long as your reception does, and I’ve kept a party going for more than four hours. A parlor show runs forty-five minutes to an hour. A stage show gets paced to fit your program, so tell me how much time you have.
How much space and setup do you need?
For strolling magic, none. Everything I use fits in my pockets, and I move through the crowd. For a stage show, a space to perform and a mic from your sound system is usually all it takes, and I can bring my own sound if the venue doesn’t have any. I show up ready, so nobody on your side is working around me before doors.
Do you travel outside Sacramento?
Yes. I’m based in Sacramento and perform all over the Bay Area and Northern California, and I travel to Reno, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, and Arizona. For events farther out, travel is covered on top of the show, and I’ll lay that out up front. A spa in Chandler, Arizona once flew me out for their staff holiday party, so it’s not a strange request.
Is the show clean and appropriate for a corporate audience?
Yes. The show is clean, and nobody who volunteers ends up embarrassed. The comedy runs through everything, and it’s the kind the whole crowd can laugh at, the boss included.
What is mentalism, and how is it different from magic?
Mentalism is the part where I call out things people never said out loud. Magic is about objects, like cards, coins, and rings, doing what they shouldn’t. Mentalism is about what’s in someone’s head, with no trapdoors or props to explain it away. It can run inside a strolling set or stand as its own piece, and it’s the part corporate audiences remember longest.
Do you do family events or kids’ parties?

Have you performed at the Magic Castle?
Yes. In 2025 I played a week-long run at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, twenty-seven shows in the Parlour of Prestidigitation.
How far in advance should I book?
As soon as you have a date. December is the busiest month for holiday parties, so earlier is better then. If your event is next week, ask anyway. If the date’s open, I’ll make it work.
Do you carry liability insurance?
Yes. I carry liability insurance, and I can add your venue or company as an additional insured. Just tell me who needs to be listed.
